We educate people about their rights and work to reduce human rights violations through awareness, support, and advocacy.
Birsa Seva Sansthan (BSS) is dedicated to advancing human rights and building legally aware communities. We believe that awareness is the first step toward justice, especially for those who face systemic discrimination, marginalization, or lack of access to legal resources.
To bridge this gap, BSS keeps organizing multiple legal awareness and aid camps across rural villages and underserved urban areas of Ranchi district. These sessions focus on educating citizens—particularly women, youth, and marginalized populations—about their fundamental rights, legal protections, and the avenues available for redressal under Indian law.
Topics covered included child protection laws, domestic violence, gender-based discrimination, human trafficking, consumer rights, and access to government-supported legal aid. The programs also emphasized civic duties and the importance of active participation in democratic governance.
Legal professionals, advocates, and trained volunteers partnered with BSS to conduct these sessions, ensuring participants received clear, relevant, and practical legal guidance. These initiatives are helping build a more informed, empowered, and justice-seeking society.
