livelihood skill development

Livelihood & Skill Development

Since its inception, Birsa Seva Sansthan (BSS) has been committed to the empowerment and upliftment of women, particularly from tribal and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The organization has undertaken a range of skill development initiatives aimed at enhancing the employability and income-generating capacities of marginalized women and youth.

Building Skills for Economic Independence

Birsa Seva Sansthan (BSS) is dedicated to fostering self-reliance and economic independence among marginalized communities, especially tribal women and youth. Our Livelihood and Skill Development initiatives are designed to equip individuals with market-relevant vocational skills that open doors to sustainable income opportunities.

Practical Training Tailored to Local Needs

During the year, BSS conducted a series of free training programs in areas such as tailoring, embroidery, knitting, candle making, soft toy production, and basic digital literacy. These trainings are tailored to local needs and aim to enhance employability as well as promote small-scale entrepreneurship.

Post-Training Support and Women-led Change

To ensure real-world impact, we provide post-training support including job placement assistance, mentorship, and distribution of essential tools like sewing machines. We also work with local Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to strengthen collective economic activity and boost confidence among women to lead as change-makers within their communities.

Our goal is not just skill-building—but empowering individuals to build a better future for themselves and their families.

"Join Us and be a part of our journey toward a better tomorrow!"
